“The house had a great view of the sea and was spacious and it was nice to be so close to the beach.”

It’s a steep hill but had a good routine of driving down and dropping off the beach gear and driving back later to avoid having to carry everything back up the hill! ...

It’s a steep hill but had a good routine of driving down and dropping off the beach gear and driving back later to avoid having to carry everything back up the hill! The garden was also lovely to sit in. It was disappointing that the double bed in the back bedroom, facing the sea was extremely uncomfortable. We both had back ache all week and did not sleep well as a result. I would recommend a more supportive mattress on this bed. Parking was unclear initially as we have a large car that wouldn’t fit on the narrow drive but we parked on the road instead with no issues. It was a lovely view although it’s a shame about the noisy building work currently going on. I hope it won’t spoil the view of the sea for future visitors!

Blue Seas is charming family-friendly house tucked away in Carbis Bay, Cornwall. With three bedrooms sleeping six people and rear views of the sea, the property is perfect for escaping to the seaside with all the comforts of home. One of Cornwall’s best loved destinations, St. Ives, is just a short journey away from Blue Seas, where you will find postcard-perfect views, sandy beaches for surfing or unwinding, and plenty of culture to discover in the town, including Tate St. Ives, cafés, shops or hop on St. Ives railway for one of the most scenic routes in Britain. A short journey south will bring you to Penzance, nestled in Mount’s Bay with cobbled alleyways, dockside taverns and beautiful gardens, it’s one of Cornwall’s hidden gems; take a dip in the thermo Jubilee pool or stroll the promenade for dazzling views of the bay. Just a short drive from iconic St Ives, the seaside village of Carbis Bay is best-known for its beautiful stretch of pure white sand. With turquoise waters and sheltered conditions, the beach feels almost subtropical and is the perfect spot for a good old-fashioned day by the sea. The beach is also home to the Ocean Sports Centre, so if sunbathing is not really your thing, why not hire a kayak or SUP and get out on the water instead. Or why not treat yourself to a Spa day at the delightful hotel which overlooks the beach and has a fabulous terrace where cocktails can be enjoyed in the Cornish sunshine? Carbis Bay has a small range of local shops and restaurants as well as a fish & chip takeaway and railway branch line.
